Senior appointments reinforce continued investment in engineering, manufacturing and technical excellence at the Farnborough International Airshow
FARNBOROUGH, UK – July 2026 – As the aerospace industry continues to pursue lighter, more efficient aircraft and increasingly sophisticated space and defence platforms, demand is growing for advanced materials that deliver exceptional strength, improved thermal performance, corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.
At this year's Farnborough International Airshow, AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP) is highlighting its continued investment in leadership, engineering and technical excellence through two senior appointments that reinforce its commitment to supporting the evolving requirements of the global aerospace, aviation, space and defence sectors.
Michael (Mike) Marucci has joined AMETEK Specialty Metal Products as Division Vice President & Business Unit Manager, responsible for leading the division's strategic direction and accelerating its continued growth. In this leadership role, he leads the production and delivery of the company's differentiated tube, strip and powder metal solutions, supporting customers across the aerospace and defence.

Further strengthening the organisation's technical leadership, Dr Rahul Bhattacharya has been appointed Director of Quality and Technical at Fine Tubes, a UK-based AMETEK Specialty Metal Products facility for precision tubing. In this role, he is responsible for strengthening quality culture across the organisation, ensuring Fine Tubes' products consistently meet customer expectations, engineering specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
