Fine Tubes Employees Raise £2,500 for Good Causes in 2021

Employees of Fine Tubes in Plymouth, UK, have raised an impressive £2,500 for local and national charities and local community groups. The money was raised over the course of 2021, with fundraising co-ordinated by the Fine Tubes Charity Fund Committee. Fine Tubes matched employee’s contributions, pound-for-pound to help reach the total amount.

Beneficiaries were nominated by Fine Tubes employees and included the following: Chestnut Appeal (prostate cancer research and support), Neuroblastoma UK, Solving Kids Cancer, Polish Saturday School, Shekinah Mission (supporting local people affected by drug addiction, mental health and homelessness), The Woodside Animal Welfare Trust, Plymouth Children in Poverty, Devon Air Ambulance, Waterside Explorer Scouts and Children’s Hospice SW.

Employees raised the funds by donating part of their salary via a charitable giving scheme managed by the HR department. The Fine Tubes Charity Fund Committee members for 2021 are Rob Eatwell, John Gilkes, Michelle Graham, Szymon Skwiot and Bart Smiga.

Claire Baker, Human Resources Manager at Fine Tubes, said, “We are very proud of everyone who has taken part in our charity giving campaign over the past 12 months. For our employees to have raised so much money for so many worthwhile causes speaks volumes about their kindness and generosity towards others.”
