£3,500 donated to good causes in 2020 by Fine Tubes Charity Fund

An impressive £3,500 was donated to good causes in 2020 by the Fine Tubes Charity Fund, benefitting local charities and community groups in and around Devon and South West England, where the metal tubing manufacturer’s HQ is based in Plymouth.

Money was raised over the course of twelve months by Fine Tubes employees, with the company matching their contributions, pound-for-pound. The charities and groups who received funding were: Children’s Hospice SW, Chestnut Appeal (prostate cancer research and support), Cornwall Hospice Care, Solving Kids Cancer (research and support for children affected by neuroblastoma cancer), Cornwall Air Ambulance, Polish Saturday School, CHICKs (support for grieving children and young people), St Luke’s (specialist care for terminally ill people), Waterside Explorer Scouts, Children’s Happy Hospital Fund, Shekinah Mission (supporting people in recovery and affected by issues including homelessness and mental ill health), Gables (animal rescue and rehoming centre) and The Woodside Animal Trust.

Claire Baker, Human Resources Manager at Fine Tubes, said, “In a year that has been challenging and difficult for us all, we are proud to have raised so much money for those in need. It is a true testament to the kindness of our employees at Fine Tubes that they have continued to give so generously to others. We look forward to carrying on supporting many good causes in 2021.”
