Staff at the Fine Tubes plant on Plymbridge Road in Plymouth were delighted that their Charity Fund was able to donate a total of £4150 last year to some 17 good causes.

Contributions made to the Fund by employees are matched pound-for-pound by the company and since the Fund was first set up over 20 years ago it has raised more than £100,000. The supported charities are local registered charities. They are chosen by the staff and in the latest round of donations included Marie Curie, Help for Heroes, Friends of Plymouth Portage and Hospice South West.

Rebecca Taylor, a member of the Fine Tubes Charity Fund Committee, said:
“It’s great to be able to give something back to the community and we are all very proud of what the Fund continues to achieve.”

Fine Tubes has a long history of manufacturing precision tubes for some of the most critical applications in the aerospace, oil & gas and nuclear industries. The company is part of the global AMETEK group and employs 351 people in Plymouth.
